Update....

Well, I just uploaded some pictures, which is what everyone wants to see, but I thought I'd take a minute while the little man is asleep and I have internet access to update ya'll on what we've been doing.

Mitchell will be six months old next week. Crazy how fast that has gone. He is growing and learning everyday. He sits up like a champ and recently has voluntarily been rolling onto his stomach and trying to crawl. He's got the legs down pretty well, but his face is still planted into the ground so he's not moving much. That makes him angry sometimes. We've been dabbling in feeding him real food. Last night we tried green beans. He not only make a yucky face and spit it out, but even gagged a bit. Maybe they'll grow on him. Grandma Holt noticed his first tooth poking through today. We'll have to be careful now when he grabs our hands and sticks them in his mouth.

Steve was able to transfer up to the Ogden office of the state tax commission. We are super excited about that! And also super excited that we didnt' buy a house closer to Salt Lake. Mitchell and I met up with him for lunch in the park on 25th street today. It was such a nice afternoon.

Last month Steve ran his first ever marathon and rocked it! His time was 2 hours 25 minutes - that's five minutes faster than his goal and only 6 minutes off of the Olympic qualifying time. He took third overall and won $750. He's AMAZING!!!

He is being sponsored by a team called "Utah Elite". They give him quite of bit of gear and pull strings to get him into the races for free. He just has to wear their jersey and run so many races each year. So far he's represented them well with third at the Top of Utah marathon and 1st at the Layton half marathon. His last race of the year will be the Mesquite half marathon in November. We purchased tickets to go to Boston in April where he will give it a shot at qualifying for the Olympic trials. Good luck sweetie!

I'm not up to much other than playing house all day. I love staying home with Mitchell. He is so much fun. I've been trying out new recipes and learning how to cook. Steve says everything is good. I'm not sure that is always true, but I'm glad for his encouragement. I'm singing with the WSU Alumni choir again. That has been nice to get back into music a little bit. There are a few more younger members this year, which is fun.

Well, I think that's all the news. Until next time....
