Another first is that we had our very first ultra sound - ever! I was a little nervous and hoping that we would find everything alright in there, and we did. The descriptions of the pictures are our doctor's interpretation. To me they all look like little grey warm fuzzy blobs. So, I'll tell you what she said and you can try to interpret them.
In other baby news, I broke the news to my boss last Tuesday (a day after the ultrasound). He took it very well, which was a relief to me. I first told him that this would be my last tax season, which caused his jaw to drop. Then I explained why and he straightened back up and congratulated me. I'm glad that I made it clear when I first took the job that having a family and being a mom was my goal in life and that I planned to quit working when that happened. He respects that and seemed happy for me. I'm not sure how the transition will go, but I supppose we have a few months to figure that out.
So without further ado, onto the pictures.
This is the head on the left and the chest below/right of it.
This is the same shot, but with the heartbeat.
This one is of the arms/hands. They are on the left (a little diagonal line). The doctor said he/she had his/her hands clasped like he/she was praying.
The two dots on the left are two little legs sticking out and then the little bum is underneath that.
And this last one is of the head again on the left and you can see the spine along the bottom.
